Boscia Deep Pore Charcoal Cleansing Stick Treatment Review

I saw this on the Sephora website and thought it looked like an interesting way to cleanse your skin. And since it is a pore cleaning product I wanted to give it a try because I definitely have large pores and need to keep those babies clean!

Where I have the largest pores are around my nose and inner portion of my face, which I of course don’t like because they are right there front and center! Although many people have large pores in that area, I still don’t like it! Especially when they visibly get clogged from all the makeup I wear. But I digress, back to the cleanser. What I liked about the cleanser was that it was in stick form and I thought it would make cleaning my face a breeze, but what really happened is that it is a pain in the butt to use. According to the online product description it is supposed to lather as you place the product onto wet skin to cleanse. That doesn’t happen. What happens is you end up smacking your self in the face with it, or at least that’s the way it feels. It doesn’t lather when you put it on your skin from the stick. However once you’ve applied the product to your skin and begin to work the product into your skin to cleanse it does lather a little. You also have to be careful because the product does not apply evenly and it is easy to apply too much in one area of the face and then you’ll be trying to rinse it off for what seems like forever! I hate when that happens, it’s almost like the product gets a little too soft and without trying you end up with way too much on your face. I always feel like my money is going down the drain when that happens.

All in all, yes it cleanses the skin and isn’t drying but I do not like the packaging/application method. I purchased a few more Boscia products during the Sephora VIB sale so I will give those a try and see how they work for me.
