Korres Anti Aging Primer Review
A little while back when I went to Sephora and while at the checkout they had as a 100 point perk the Korres Anti Aging Primer and I’ve never tried any Korres products so I thought I’d give it a shot. Then what happens to a lot of samples- it just ended up in a drawer in my vanity and I didn’t give it another thought. That is until two weeks ago when I came a tossed it again. It retails at Sephora for $33.00.
I was shopping my stash and found it again and since I was running low on my other primer. I decided to give it a go. Its claims (taken from Sephora website): “This powerful treatment and skin-perfecting face primer in one instantly fills wrinkles and produces a smooth and perfected skin surface—ensuring long-lasting make up application. The formula is enriched with powerful antioxidant Quercetin and Oak extracts, which improve skin cell functioning, repair fine lines and wrinkles, and improve skin texture and elasticity. The revolutionary, breakthrough Quercetin & Oak Age-reversing Primer is clinically proven to improve skin texture by 97% and significantly increase skin elasticity by 88%.”
Sounds pretty good right? Well, for me not so much. I have been using this for about 2 weeks now and it is just not that it’s cracked up to be. I’ve tried it with several different foundations and the result is the same- mediocre at best. It doesn’t seem to make my makeup last longer (even my long wearing makeup didn’t last as long), if anything it seemed to decrease the wear time of my foundation. As a person who is always on-the-go I need my makeup to last and don’t have time for touch ups.
As you can probably see in the picture above I have used quite a bit of it. I wanted to try it out for a while to really get a good feel for it. I do like the way that it feels on my skin. It’s nice and light and doesn’t clog my pores. I also like that it is silicon free. As to the anti-aging properties it claims to have I am not sure I can actually see a difference with just one tube. But hey at least it sounds good to me! But over all it just really did not prolong the wear of my foundation and so I will most likely not purchase this in the future.
Have any of you tried this primer? Did it work for you? Have you tried any other Korres products? If so, what do you recommend I try?
